WILLIAM BOYER OBITUARY…..

The funeral service for William Boyer of rural Albert Lea , MN will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea. Father James Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Sunday with a prayer service at 7:30 PM, ALSO at St. Theodore Catholic Church and one hour before services on Monday. Interment will be in the St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery, Albert Lea.

William died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. He was 80 years old.

William Peter James Boyer was born in rural New Richland, MN on June 3, 1928, the son of John and Helen (Safner) Boyer. He graduated from Alden High School . William was married to Ramona Ruth Bartelt on August 9, 1950. Together they moved to Willmar , MN , in 1955 and later moved back to Albert Lea , MN in 1972. William was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. He was a truck driver for Wilson & Co, retiring in 1988 and also enjoyed his hobby farm. William was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

William had a special love for deer hunting and the trips he took with his sons hunting. He enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening with his wife Ramona. He had great enjoyment in watching, listening and reading about Minnesota Sports. However, the greatest enjoyment he had was spending time with his family.

William is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ramona Boyer of rural Albert Lea, MN; children: James (Kay) Boyer of Willmar, MN, Jerome (Susie) Boyer of Eagle Lake, MN, Ronald (Julie) Boyer of Albert Lea, MN, Kenneth (Nancy) Boyer of Albert Lea, MN, Glenn (Tami) Boyer of Albert Lea, MN, Gail (Todd) Monson of Lakeville, MN, Alan (Karen) Boyer of Albert Lea, MN, Mark Boyer of Rochester, MN, Diane (Norman) Tyndale of Oronoco, MN, Jason (Diane) Boyer of Ramsey, MN, Todd (Susan) Boyer of New Prague, MN, daughter-in-law, Rhonda Boyer of Janesville, MN, Tina (Jeff) Locke of Oronoco, MN, Heidi (Brady) House of Spring Valley, MN; 45 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers & sisters: Walter(Rose) Boyer of Albert Lea, MN, Frances (Margaret) Boyer of Jackson, MN, Margie Bice of Albert Lea, MN, Lyle (Jeannie) Boyer of Albert Lea, MN; sisters-in-law: Ellen Mae Boyer and Mildred Boyer both of Albert Lea, MN; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

William was preceded in death by his parents John and Helen Boyer; sons: John and Jeff; grandson, Thomas; brothers & sisters: Johnnie, Dorothy, Art, Richard, Anna, Charlie, Luella.
