Walter Riggle

Walter Russell Riggle, of Glenville, passed away on November 13, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He was 81 years old. Walter was born October 18, 1936 to parents Walter Ray and Martha (Bergland) Riggle in Crystal Lake, Iowa. He attended high school in Crystal Lake and served for three years in the National Guard. He moved to the Glenville, Minnesota area in 1963.

Walter was very hard worker.  In his younger years he was a farmer and enjoyed collecting old tractors. Later on he worked at Queen Stove Works in Albert Lea and drove truck for different companies.

Walter enjoyed spending time with his family and will be missed. Survivors include his children, Cynthia Kach, Rodney Riggle, Bruce Riggle, Troy Riggle; grandchildren, Heidi (Mike) Dill, Jessica Riggle, Elijah (Jenna) Riggle; great-grandchildren, Jace Gentz, Olivia Gentz, Haidyn Riggle, Huntley Riggle, Henryk Riggle; sisters, Margaret Delger and Donna (Ed) Delger; and his dog, Duke. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Helland.

A private service honoring Walter’s life will be held. Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting the family.
