Vinh Thi Trinh

Vinh Thi Trinh "Bà", age 102, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, confidant, and friend.

Bà was born in the year of 1923, in Bac Ninh, Vietnam to Do Thi Vang. She raised her children as a single mother in Saigon and immigrated to the United States from Vietnam almost 50 years ago along with her three children, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren. She became an American citizen in 1990. Bà had many hobbies. She loved: spending time with her family, cooking, fishing, gardening, dancing, traveling, listening to her Vietnamese soap operas, and going to casinos.

Bà is survived by her four children, Minh Dinh Ngo, Thanh Dinh Ngo (wife Que Huong Huynh Ngo), Nguyet Minh Ngo (husband Chau Ngoc Tran), Hien Xuan Nguyen (husband Hung Manh Vu), two nieces, 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and a circle of family and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She was preceded in death by her father, her mother, her first husband, Ngo Dinh Ty, and her second husband, Nguyen Van Dam, her son Ngo Dinh Son, her son, Ngo Dinh Giang, her sister, Trinh Thi Vung, her brother, Trinh Van Nui, her niece, Trinh Thi Hoang, and daughter-in-law, Doan Thi Luom.

Bà was our wonderful matriarch who was always there when we needed a good meal, a good laugh, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. Bà loved everyone. She even treated her grandchildren's friends as if they were her own and they would call her "Ngoai". She was very generous in every facet of her life, progressive, and ahead of her time. She left a legacy of generosity, kindness, grit, and strength.

A special "Thank you" to St. Croix Hospice staff for their love, professionalism, and heartfelt service.

Rest in Peace, sweet Mę, Bà Nôi, Bà Ngoąi, and Bà Cô. We will deeply miss you, your laughter, and your love for life.

Trong lúc tang gia bối rối, nếu có bất cứ điều gì sơ suất, gia đình mong nhận được sự cảm thông và lượng thứ. Gia đình chúng tôi đồng cảm tạ.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Croix Hospice in memory of our beautiful Bà.
