Verniece Staloch

The funeral service for Verniece Arlene Staloch of Freeborn, Minnesota will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at the All Saints Catholic Church, New Richland, Minnesota. Father Swami will officiate. Interment will be in the Freeborn Cemetery, Freeborn, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday August 2, 2009 at Bonnerup Funeral Service 2210 E. Main St. Albert Lea, Minnesota and visitation one hour before the service at the church on Monday August 3, 2009.
Verniece died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the Albert Lea Medical Center after a courageous struggle with cancer at the age of 83.
Verniece was born April 26, 1926 near Waldorf, Minnesota to Edwin and Alice (Melcher) Reb. She graduated from Waldorf High School. Verniece married Roman Staloch on April 25, 1950 in Wells, Minnesota. They lived 6 years in Wells, and then moved to the farm near Freeborn, Minnesota until 1996. From the farm they moved into the town of Freeborn. Verniece was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church and was active in their Bible Studies and church circle. She worked in the office for Musser in Wells, then Banquet Foods of Wells for 8 years. She worked as a kitchen aide for the Freeborn School until she retired. Verniece and Roman belonged to a 500 card club for 50 years. Verniece enjoyed quilting, baking, canning, growing flowers and gardening. She also extremely enjoyed traveling and fishing trips with Roman. Her family was very important to her. Verniece was very spiritual, and loved the Lord.
Verniece is survived by her husband Roman Staloch of Freeborn; Six children?daughter Patty and her husband Daniel Jacobs of Alden; Jason and wife Melanie (Richter) and sons McKoy, McQuade, and Isaac; Sara (Jacobs) and husband Kile Stewart; John Jacobs; Amanda (Jacobs) and her husband Jon Dierenfeld. Son LaMar Staloch and special friend Mary Jo of Glenville; Christopher and wife Sara (Trask) and son Benjamin; Dominique Staloch. Daughter Sharon and her husband Richard Honstad of Freeborn; Richie and wife Amanda (Stenzel) and children Morgan, Alexander, and Owen; Ryan and wife Jessi (Schulte); Michael and wife Kelly (Klunder) and son Kyle; Jerrad Honstad. Daughter Deb and her husband Thomas Sonnek of Farimont; Mathew and wife Katie (Martin); Aaron Sonnek; Angela Sonnek. Son Kenneth Staloch of Coon Rapids and son Joseph. Son Roman Jeff and his wife Irene (Zenz) of Byron; Halie and Parker. Sister Darlene and her husband Herb Kukuk and their family. Sister-in-law Pat Reb-Peterson and family. And many nieces and nephews and their families.
Verniece is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Alice (Melcher) Reb, infant sisters Leona and Irene, brother Harvey Reb, nephews Jerome Reb, and Ronnie Kukuk.
