Valie Rae (Jensen) Iverson, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on May 25, 2024, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Valie dedicated her career to providing compassionate care at healthcare facilities such as Good Sam, St. John's, and Thorne Crest before her well-deserved retirement. She also briefly worked at the Albert Lea Tribune, showcasing her diverse talents and dedication to her community.
Those who knew Valie knew of her passion for collecting dolls and her love for Elvis Presley, evidenced by her Elvis-themed kitchen. Valie's culinary skills were also renowned, as she delighted many with her delicious baked goods, including cinnamon rolls, bars, and cream puffs.
Left to cherish Valie’s memory are her children, Tim Iverson, Traci (Vaughn) Corwin; grandchildren, Raechel, Tabetha (Luke), Mara (Logan), Lauren (Dakotah), Hunter, Harley, Christopher, Kerri, Trevor (Danielle), Shelbi (Chris); siblings, Max (Marlene) Jensen, Diane Harrig, June (Bruce) Chrz, Gary (Becky) Jensen; great-grandchildren, Marshall, Maddux, Mikko, Ryli, Linzi, Macy, Banner, Emmitt, Nora, Walker, Nolan, Pierce and Athena.
Valie is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Bernice (Fredrickson) Jensen; daughter, Terri Iverson; brother-in-law Gene Harrig; and Mark Raverty.
A Life Celebration Gathering in honor of Valie's life will be held at Bonnerup Funeral & Cremation Services on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Though Valie may have left this world, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. May her kindness and dedication be cherished as we remember and celebrate a life well-lived.
