Funeral Services for Tom Falk, 48, of Maple Grove, formerly of Albert Lea, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on
Saturday, March 15, 2014 at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Reverend John Holt will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at First Lutheran Church. Bonnerup
Funeral Service, Albert Lea, is assisting the family.
Tom left us unexpectedly at the Maple Grove Hospital in Maple Grove on Tuesday, March 11. He was born on May 16, 1965, in Albert Lea the one of three sons of Donald and Peter (Hoese) Falk. He graduated from Albert Lea High School with the class of 1983, and then obtained his B.S. Degree in Business from University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. He married Cindy Nielsen on September 1, 1990 at First Lutheran Church and they made their home in Albert Lea.
From 1987 until 2007 Tom worked at Interstate Meats and from 2007 until the present he was employed at J&B Group based in St. Michael, MN. Tom was a great sport enthusiast. He passionately played and coached hockey. Enjoying a good game of golf with his family and best friends was his favorite hobby. He loved music, especially country, with songs by Garth Brooks among his favorites. He enjoyed taking walks, especially with his "special love" Cindy at his side. He loved keeping his family close, they all enjoyed being together. Tom will be greatly missed by his family, wife Cindy and children Brady and Stephi of Maple Grove, parents Donald and Peter Falk of Albert Lea; brothers: Mark Falk of Duluth and Steve Falk of Albert Lea and his children Holly, Michael and Katie; father-in-law and mother-in-law Richard and JoAnn
Nielsen of Albert Lea; brother-in-law Mark Nielsen and his wife Meri and their children Haley and Jake of
Lakeville, MN and aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom was well respected by his friends and co-workers and will be remembered as always being genuine. He showed his love to his family every day, and was a great husband, dad, son, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle and friend!
