Tim Boever

Memorial services for Timothy C. Boever of Blooming Prairie, MN will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday August 31, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, MN. Pastor Dwight DoBell will officiate. Military Honors will be accorded. Friends may visit with family one hour before services at the funeral home. Tim passed away at his home on Saturday August 24, 2019 at the age of 70. He was born on November 12, 1948 in Marcus, Iowa, the son of John and Geraldine (Dixon) Boever. Tim attended Holy Name Catholic School in Marcus, Iowa through the 6th grade and then graduated from Marcus Community High School. He then proudly served our country in the US Army, enlisting in 1968, serving two terms and receiving his honorable discharge in April of 1970. He married Catherine Schneider on December 23, 1975 and they were blessed with four children: Erica, Allison, Christina, and Thomas “TJ”. Tim attended Western Iowa technical college and trained to be a butcher. Throughout the years, he also worked as a trucker and did landscaping. He finished out his working years, at Minimizer Manufacturing in Blooming Prairie. He is a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He was always known to have a good time, no matter what the activity. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing cards or poker. His favorite times were those spent with family, especially his grandchildren. His family and friends will greatly miss his keen sense of humor and quick witted one liners. Tim is survived by his wife, Cathy, his Children: Erica (Todd) Nelson, Allison (Travis) Hensrud, Christina (Jeffrey) Getchell, Thomas (Alisha) Boever all of Blooming Prairie, MN; his grandchildren: Arri Meiners, Dustin, Brianna and Hailey Hensrud, Connor and Myah Getchell, Madilynne Boever, Blake and Savannah Kramer; siblings: John "Jack" (Dorothy) Boever, Kitty (Jerry) Galles, Sherry Willis, Julie (Pete) Mundell, Deanna (Jim) Beck, Mary (Art) Ewoldt; Father in law Melford (Darlene) Schneider; sisters in law and brothers in law: Carol Boever, Karen Boever, Julie Boever, Terry (Barb) Schneider, Cheryl (Larry) Shoden, Brenda (Scott) Thompson, Rhonda (Dennis) Underdahl and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father John, mother Geraldine, siblings: Norbert “Nubs” Boever, Peggy Larson, Richard “Dick” Boever, Gail Boever, Steve Boever; mother in law Esther Schneider; sister in law Karen Schneider; brother in law Randall Schneider
