Memorial services for Thomas Marion Kerns will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Saint Marys Catholic Church in rural Blooming Prairie, MN. Father Adam McMillan will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8PM Friday, September 4 at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea and again one hour prior to the service at the church.
Thomas M. Kerns Sr., of Geneva, MN passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Tom was born on November 12, 1960 to Connie (Mask) and Glen Kerns in Maricopa, Arizona. He has lived in various other states including California, Wisconsin, and most recently Minnesota. He married his wife Sarah in Myre Big Island State Park near Albert Lea on June 4, 2011. Together, they made their home in Geneva.
Tom had a lifelong career as a truck driver, starting in 1988, and was self-employed. He enjoyed working on classic cars and enjoyed music- including singing karaoke and playing guitar.
Those left to cherish the memory of Tom include his wife, Sarah; children, Thomas Jr. (Amie) Kerns of New Providence, IA, Brian Kerns of Menomenie, WI, Staci (Shelby) Froh of Martell, WI, and Lucas, Logan, and Kelly Harden of Geneva, MN; 16 grandchildren; sisters, Lisa (Steve) Ersland and Lori Hawkins-Kerns and many close family and friends.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Glen Jr.; and brother-in-law, Danny Hawkins.
