Graveside services for Tamara D Turvold, of Albert Lea, will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Friday, July 14, at Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea. Tamara died on Tuesday, July 4 at the Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea. She was 74. She was born on March 18, 1943, in Austin, Minnesota the daughter of Kermit M. and Deolyn L. (Berg) Olson. Tamara attended Austin High School. On December 25, 1958, she was united in marriage to Harlan D. Turvold, to this union seven children were born. Throughout her life Tamara had lived in Beloit, IL, Oakland, MN, Columbus, Georgia, Austin, MN, and had made Albert Lea her home since 1971. She had worked and retired from Wilson Foods (Farmstead Foods). In her later years Tamara enjoyed spending time and being with people at HyVee. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life and brought her much joy. Tamara is survived by her children: Debbra Kay (Robert) Sombke of Alvarado, MN, Dawn Renae (Douglas) Weitzel of Albert Lea, Denelle Rajean (James) O’Byrne of Albert Lea, Darrel Kermit Turvold of Albert Lea, Dustin Lee Turvold of Oakland, MN, Donovan Duane (Gail) Turvold of Cosmos, MN, stepson Daniel Duane Dempewolf of Denver, CO; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, brother Gary M. Olson of San Leandro, CA, sister Karen L. (Rick) Curnutt of Las Vegas, NV, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Kermit and Deolyn Olson, infant son Duane Harlan Turvold, husband Harlan Duane Turvold, great grandsons: Jayce William Hable, Zane Edward Hable, and stepson Bruce Dempewolf.
