Sharon Miller

August 8, 1938 — January 12, 2025

Sharon Ann (Schacherer) Miller passed away on January 12, 2025, at her home in Albert Lea, at the age of 86. She was born and raised in Dawson, Minnesota on August 8, 1938 to the late Herbert and Emmy (Lideen) Schacherer.

After graduating from Dawson High School, Sharon attended Minnesota State University in Mankato. She then moved to Ellendale, Minnesota, where she spent many years of her life, raised her four sons – Dave, Dennis, Jeff, and Jim, and worked for Groth Furniture. She went on to work as an administrative assistant for Riverland Community College in Albert Lea. She also found great joy and satisfaction in volunteering at elder care facilities, including St. John’s of Albert Lea.

Sharon would be the first to tell you she lived a very good life. Those who had the privilege to know her would say she enriched their lives with warmth, kindness, and unwavering support, especially for those who needed it the most. In her passing, Sharon’s legacy can be found in the kind, caring, compassionate, and successful family she created.

She is survived by Dave’s wife, Tammy Miller; Dennis (Jackie) Miller, Jeff (Lori) Miller, and Jim (friend Jodie) Miller; grandchildren, Sharon, Steven, Chris, Eric, Jenna, Devan, Erin, Paige, and Lucas; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Welcoming Sharon home are her parents and beloved son, David.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held in the spring for friends and family.
