Scott O. Grindeland, 63, of Glenville, died on March 15, 2024. He passed away while in hospice care in Rochester, Minnesota. He was diagnosed with cancer while being treated at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis.

Scott was born in 1960 in Vancouver, Washington to Robert and Adeline Grindeland. He has three surviving siblings, a brother, John, and two sisters, Joy, and Mary. His sister, Roberta recently died due to complications from cancer. His father was killed in 1964 in a fatal vehicle crash. His mother, Adeline died in 1985. After his father's death, Adeline took her children to Hatton, North Dakota to be with family. Hatton became their new home.

Scott grew up in Hatton, where he attended school and graduated in 1979. During this time period he became 'Scooter'. He worked as a truck driver, and worked on local area farms. Scott enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1984 where he trained as a jet mechanic, and traveled the world while working on Navy jets. He was discharged in 1988, and returned to North Dakota. He eventually left for Austin.

Scott returned to a truck driving career. He loved camping, golf, and enjoyed music. He will be interred at the new Veteran's cemetery in Preston, Minnesota. Scooter will be missed.
