ROZELLA HANSEN OBITUARY….

The Memorial Service for Rozella Hansen of Hollandale , MN will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel, Albert Lea. Pastor William Bankester will officiate. Interment will be in the Hollandale Cemetery , Hollandale , MN . Visitation will be one hour before service at the chapel.

Rozella died Friday, April 10, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Home, Albert Lea. She was

85 years old.

Rozella was born in Palo Alto , Iowa on November 5, 1923, the daughter of Albert H. and Martha (Gappa) Walz. She graduated from Albert Lea High School . Rozella was married to Kenneth Hansen on Feb 12, 1943 in Texas. Rozella was a member of the Hollandale Conservative Congregational Church in Hollandale.

Rozella had worked as a grocery clerk in Hollandale and for many years worked for school District 241 in the cafeteria. She enjoyed decorating cakes and playing cards with her Friday Card Group.

Rozella is survived by her son, Donald (Sue) Hansen of Albert Lea, MN; daughter, Carol (Roger) Young of Billings, MT; grandchildren: Ron Hansen, Keri (Robert) O’Brien, Steven (Julie) Young, Patty (Shawn) Ward; great grandchildren: Sam, Madeline, Eleanor and Brennen; special friend, Irene Jones of Hollandale, MN; brothers: Leo Walz of Illinois, John Walz of Alexandria, MN, Albert Walz of Rochester, MN; sisters: Mary Helen O’Neal of Illinois, Delores Overby of Austin, MN; many nieces and nephews.

Rozella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; sisters: Lillian Sainer and Katherine Halferty; brother, Jerome Walz.
