Rose Krause

The funeral service for Rose Krause will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, October 26, 2007 at Salem Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Pastor Jay Dahlvang will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour before service at the church. Interment will be in the Hillcrest cemetery.



Rose Krause died Monday, October 22, 2007 at St. John?s Lutheran Home, Albert Lea. She was 82 years old.



Rose Leona Krause (Malzahn) was born on August 19, 1925 in Blue Earth, MN, the daughter of Hilbert (H. P,) and Francis Malzahn. Rose married Manuel (Bud) Krause on Thanksgiving Day in 1943. She worked at St. John?s Lutheran Home for 26 years as a CNA. Rose enjoyed taking care of others. She also enjoyed playing cards, baking, and country music. She also had a love for dogs.



Rose is survived by five children: sons, Michael Krause of Albert Lea, MN, Monte Krause of Sheridan, WY, Mark Krause of Albert Lea, MN, Merle (Celeste) Krause of Albert Lea, MN; daughter, Malinda (Randy) Nielsen of Albert Lea, MN ; grandchildren, Jennifer Powers, Mark Krause Jr., Max Krause, Mitchell Krause, Brandon Krause, Yvonne Krause, Casey Nielsen, Alex Nielsen; four great grandchildren; sister, Fern Ratigen of New Richland, MN and many nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Manuel (Bud) Krause, brother, Art Malzahn; sisters, Ruth Kofoed, Lorretta Besser; sister-in-law Margaret Malzahn.
