Ronald Remakel

Memorial services for Ronald (Ron) Remakel of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 21, 2018 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Father Kurt Farrell and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4 until 7 PM at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Theodore Cemetery. Ron died Monday, December 17, 2018 at his home in Albert Lea. He was 76 years of age. Ron was born August 8, 1942 in Albert Lea, MN, the son of Marshall and Rose(Adams) Remakel. He attended public school and the Austin Vocational School for Welding. On May 27, 1961 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Ferring at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Ron had been employed for over 24 years with Wilson’s/Farmstead. He also worked for several years with Southern MN Oil, Sorenson Brothers and 10 years for Waste Management. After his retirement he drove truck for Krueger’s Excavating. Ron is survived by his wife Marilyn of Albert Lea, MN, children Mike (Laurie) Remakel of Albert Lea, MN, and their children Colton Remakel and Sammy Remakel, Marcie (Todd) Anderson of Albert Lea, MN, and their children Nikki (Mike) Olsen, Ashley (Brady) Engelby, Ty Anderson and Fiancé Lilia Almazan. Great grandchildren include Logan and Ledger Olsen, McKinlee Engelby, Dominic and Jaxon Anderson. Also surviving are two sisters Delores Modderman and Arlis Dokken both of Alexandria, MN. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jodi Wangsness, parents Marshall “Mike” and Rose Remakel, father and mother in law Clete and Grace Ferring, brother in laws Jim Dokken and Duck Modderman. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the Family, American Cancer Society or the St. Croix Hospice.
