Funeral Services for Ronald A. Ost, of Albert Lea, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Reverend Diane Odermann will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by Albert Lea Veteran's Organizations.
Friends may visit with family one hour before the service at the church. Ronald age 78, of Albert Lea, passed away on December 5, 2015. Ronald was born on September 23, 1937, in Slayton, Minnesota the son of Albert and Anna(Swanson) Ost. In 1938, his family moved to a farm near Pequot Lakes, Minnesota where he spent his childhood years. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1955. Not long after graduation, he served in the Marines. He worked at several different jobs throughout the years. In 1991, he met his special friend Pam. Together they enjoyed many years together in Albert Lea, and the many trips to Branson, MO, where they had a mobile home and enjoyed the many shows there. Ronald is survived by special friend Pamela Helmers, sister, Darlene Flategraff of Pequot Lakes, MN; nieces: Debbie (Rod) Mullenix of Pequot Lakes, MN, Becky Parker of Lakeshore, MN, Lori Flategraff of Eagan, MN; nephews: Duane (Deanna) Flategraff of Victoria, MN, Terry Flategraff of Lake Shore, MN, Scott (Julie) Flategraff of Lake Shore, MN and Pam's son Jacob and his children Alexis and Braxton, and many great nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Harvey.
