A memorial service for Robert "Bob" Demaris will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Bonnerup Funeral Chapel, Albert Lea. The Reverend Randy Baldwin will officiate. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
Robert passed away suddenly at his home in Manchester on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. He was 60 years old.
Robert "Bob" Eugene Demaris was born on August 14, 1956 to Arvid and Irene (Davis) Demaris in Mason City, IA. He grew up and attended school in Mason City. Bob was united in marriage to Dawn (Smith) on August 14, 2012 in Lake City, MN. They made their home in Manchester, MN.
Bob was very hard worker. He had a keen eye for finding value in what others would discard. He enjoyed finding and selling scrap metals, and was always happy when he stumbled on copper! In his free time, he liked playing cards and marbles, fishing, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed family gatherings and get-togethers. Bob had a tremendous faith in God. He and his wife, Dawn, would often read the Bible at night.
He is preceded in death by both parents; and a brother, Jay.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Dawn; children, Robbie, Jamie, Jessica, and Heidi; step children, Angie, Amy, Shelly (Jerry), Troy, Nicki, and Jaci; numerous grandchildren; brothers, Jack, Tim and Rick; mother and father in-law, Howard (Sharon) Abendroth; a brother in-law, Allan Smith; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
