The memorial service for Richard "Dick" E. Pumper will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 12 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Father Timothy Reker and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.
Richard Pumper passed away on September 6, 2012. He was 84 years old.
Dick was born on September 1, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI. The son of Emil and Josephine (Sticha) Pumper, he attended Faribault High School and after graduation, served in the US Marines. On September 6, 1949 he married Theresa Pemrick at the Immaculate Conception Church in Faribault and together they had 4 children.
Dick spent over 40 years working for Wilson & Co and was the Eagles Club Secretary for 49 years. He was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church, the Eagles, and the American Legion. He enjoyed all sports, but especially baseball and football.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents; son, Tom; grandson, Ryan Michaelis; and sisters, Rita Wolters and Joyce Piepho.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Pumper of Albert Lea; daughter Julie (Dennis) Michaelis and their daughter Jill of Farmington, MN; son, Steve (Jean) Pumper and their sons Zachary and Nicholas of Dallas, TX; son, Scott Pumper of Albert Lea; nieces and nephews; and other loving relatives and friends.
