died Thursday, May 6, 2010 at St Luke’s
Lutheran
Care
Center
in Blue Earth, MN. She was 83 years of age.
Pearl
was born November 16, 1926 in New Richland, MN, the daughter of George and Pauline (
Anderson
) Wildman. She was baptized and confirmed at
Trinity
Lutheran
Church
in New Richland and attended public school in New Richland, MN.
She was united in marriage to Vernon R. Nelson who
preceded her in death. She was later married to Earl Traufler who also preceded her in death.
Pearl
worked along side her husband Vern at Vern’s Plumbing and Heating in
Albert Lea
and helped manage the
Alice
Hotel
for many years. She also worked at the
State
Hospital
in
Hastings
,
MN
and St. John’s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea.
Pearl
enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting (loved fishing!), and traveling to visit with her family.
Pearl
is survived by her children: Gene and his wife Maureen Nelson, Dennis Nelson, Cliff and his wife Kathy Michaelis, and Diane and her husband Mike Calderon. One daughter in law; Judy Nelson, fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands

and Earl, daughter; Karen Lee Nelson, son Gary V. Nelson, seven half brothers;
Chester
, Arthur, Earl, Kenneth, Lloyd,
Vernon
and Donald Michaelis, two half sisters; Ruby and Opal.
