Memorial services for Paul J. Toft of Prescott, AZ, will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday January 4, 2012 at the Community Lutheran Church in Geneva, MN. Pastor Carrie McElfresh will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place in the Geneva Cemetery.
Paul died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at his home in Prescott, AZ. He was 75 years of age.
Paul was born June 2, 1936 in Albert Lea, MN, the son of Irvin and Cora (Gunderson) Toft. He served his country in the US Army. Paul had been employed as a marble setter in industrial construction for many years.
On June 1, 1996 he was united in marriage to Shirley (Olson) Arndt. He enjoyed traveling and visiting with friends. His love was for his family and restoring his retirement home in Arizona.
Paul is survived by his wife Shirley of Prescott, AZ, children; Jeffrey (Vickie) Arndt of Austin, MN, Sean (Tara) Arndt of Waltham, MN. There are four grandchildren; Taylor, Madison, Abby and Kelly. Surviving brothers and sisters include; Charles Toft of Spring Valley, MN, Gordon Toft of Owatonna, MN, Kenneth (Evelyn) Toft of New Richland, MN, and Phyllis Toft of Taft, CA. Also surviving is his mother in law Marion Utpadel of Owatonna, MN, sisters in law; Jeanne (Vern) Simonson of Clarks Grove, MN, Sonya (Gary) Peterson of Ellendale, MN, Margaret Toft, and Patty Olson of Faribault, MN.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Toft, sisters Olive Toft and Carol Toft, sister in law Marge Toft, brothers in law Duane Olson and Alvin Olson, and fathers in law Anton Olson and George Utpadel.
