Memorial services for Paul Richard Sulentic of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at St Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea, MN. Father Timothy T. Reker and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at a later date will be in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa.
Paul died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at his home in Albert Lea, MN. He was 77 years of age.
Paul was born July 4, 1936 in Waterloo, IA, the son of Pete and Olga (Klepich) Sulentic. He graduated from St Mary's Catholic High School in 1954. He then went to work for the Rath Packing Company., leaving for a four year stint in the Army then returning to Rath. Paul then went to work for the Wilson Packing Co. in Cedar Rapids, IA, then with Wilson Packing Co. in Des Moines, IA. On September 24, 1966 he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Railsback in Des Moines, IA. Together they moved to Albert Lea in 1975 where he continued to work for the Wilson Packing Co.
Paul was a member of St Theodore Catholic Church and the Albert Le V.F.W. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and anything outdoors.
Paul is survived by his children Paulette (Randy) Redenius and their daughter Theresa of Farmington, MN, David Sulentic and his children Alexis and Samuel of Lacrosse, WI. Other survivors include sister Michalle (Ron) Geisler of Waterloo, IA., and sister Kay Bruner of Waterloo, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Jane in 2013, brother Tony Sulentic and sisters Barb Sullivan, Anne Sulentic and Lucille Sulentic.
