Memorial services for Patricia Ann McGuire of Glenville, MN, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the United Methodist Church in Glenville, MN. Pastor Joyce Shaman will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 until 7 PM at the Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Glenville, MN.
Patricia died Monday, August 4, 2014 at her home in Albert Lea. She was 83 years of age.
Pat was born July 16, 1931 in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Ernest and Hannah (Jordahl) Kabrud. She attended public school in Glenville and was united in marriage to Richard McGuire on April 2, 1955 in Northwood, Iowa.
Pat was an active lifetime member of the United Methodist Church in Glenville and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a bartender for many years in Glenville and also worked at Land-O-Lakes. She became disabled at the age of 50 but still enjoyed driving to Albert Lea daily with friends. Each year Pat looked forward to attending both the Kabrud family and the Jack Pine Savage reunions. She enjoyed going to rummage sales, baking and cooking but mostly spending time with family and friends.
Pat is survived by her children LeAnn (Gary Edstrom) Neilon of Glenville, MN, Dan McGuire of Albert Lea, MN, and Nancy (Mark) Smith of Albert Lea, MN. One stepson Glen Rudiger of Spanaway, WA, grandchildren Marnie Fjelstad, Jamie Neilon, Mia Olson, Brian McGuire, Matthew McGuire, Michael McGuire, Chris Jepson, Nick Jepson and Nancy Kuethe. There are 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother Ernie (Lorraine) Kabrud of Albert Lea, MN, and one sister Joan Becker of Albert Lea, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, siblings Doryce (William) Thompson, June (Orion) Haugerud, Marian (Tom) Hintz, Betty Goodemann, Gordy Becker, several nieces and nephews and 13 of Richards's siblings and spouses.
