Pamela Charlotte Shaw

Pamela “Pam” Shaw of Pemberton, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the evening of Sunday, October 29th 2023, after her courageous 7 year battle with Leukemia.

Pam was the oldest and loudest of six children, born December 12, 1951 to Eugene and Arletta Goettl in Mankato MN. Pam was
married to Thane in 1969 and had three children. Pam was a proud member of the American Legion Post 475 in St. Clair MN since 1989. She spent most of her time with her family, camping down at the farm, coloring, and teaching her grandkids and anyone who would listen how to properly burn a hotdog and marshmallows on an open fire. As a mother, grandmother and friend, Pam was kind, caring, generous and made her presence known anywhere she went with her huge smile and voluminous voice.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Eugene and Arletta Goettl, her brother Geno Goettl, and her Grandson, Thane Lewis Shaw.

Pam is survived by her husband, Thane Shaw; brothers and sister, Paul Goettl, Molly (Wayne) Goebel, Keith (Joan) Goettl, Bill
(Roz) Goettl; daughters, Loretta Shaw, Annie(Jeff) Shaw; son, Robert (Kelly) Shaw ; (11) Grandchildren, Ericka (Matt), Ashley, Chantel, Brandon (Hannah), Amy (Brady), Brandon , Tucker, Tatiana, Corbin, Emily, and Greg; (9) Great Grandchildren; and (1)Great-Great Grandchild. Pam will be deeply missed by family, friends, and everyone who has had the opportunity to meet her.

A Memorial Service will be held at Friedrich’s Funeral Home in New Richland, MN on Saturday November 11th, 2023 at 11:00am with a visitation 1 hour prior. A Celebration of life will follow funeral services, at the American Legion in St. Clair, MN on November 11th 2023 at 12:30pm.
