Pamela Helmers

Funeral services for Pamela Helmers will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea, MN. Pastor John Holt will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea, MN. Pamela Helmers, age 75, passed away at her home near Albert Lea, Minnesota on May 25, 2018. Pamela was born on December 28, 1942 in Austin, Minnesota to parents Dale and Elvira (Sibilrud) Shoemaker. She went to Shaw and Banfield Elementary Schools in Austin and graduated from Austin High School in 1961. She got married to Ronald Ray Helmers on March 30, 1963 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. He passed away in 1987. Pamela worked at Land O Lakes for ten years and Sundance Photo for fifteen years. She also worked for a nursing home for 6 years. Over the course of ten years, Pamela took care of 25 total foster kids. She always loved animals. She also had a home in Branson, Missouri which she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, mom and dad; brother, Cori Shoemaker; and a niece, Lani. She is survived by her son, Jacob Helmers; brother, Ron Shoemaker; granddaughter, Alexis Tasker and grandson, Braxton Helmers.
