Funeral services for Pamela Rose Ethen of Albert Lea, MN, formerly of Glenville, MN, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the First Lutheran Church in Glenville, MN. Pastor James Rushton will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
Pamela died on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at St Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. She was 67 years of age.
Pam was born February 25, 1947 in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Kenneth and Arlene (Ewald) Williamson. She graduated from Glenville High School and Riverland Community College in Albert Lea, MN. On July 12, 1986 she was united in marriage to Francis Ethen at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA.
Pam worked for many years as a nursing assistant at St John's Lutheran Home and The Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center. She had also worked at Byerly's Foods in Lake Mills, IA. Later in life she quit working to take care of her aging parents.
Pam was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Glenville, MN, the Solo's and Single's, the Albert Lea Eagle's Club, the Glenville American Legion Auxiliary and the Glenville Women of Today.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting, needlework, watching TV and Shopping. She loved listening to music and dancing.
Pam is survived by her children Dawn (Brad) Scholz of St Bonifacius, MN, Cory (Melissa) Bremer of Emmons, MN, grandchildren Michael Bremer, Gage Bremer, Benjamin Scholz and Samuel Scholz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Richard Bremer, daughter Angela Bremer, stillborn twins David and Daniel Ethen and brother David Williamson.
