The funeral service for Nathan Alan Estep of Burnsville, Minnesota will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Pastor Joel Vano will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Nathan died Friday, December 17, 2010 at his home. He was 30 years old.
Nathan was born September 30, 1980 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Mark and Susan (Lange) Estep. He was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in 1980. Nathan graduated from Enid High School, Enid, Oklahoma and then graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin in 2003 with a degree in English. He has resided in North Dakota, Colorado, Kansas, Rhode Island, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Minnesota. He worked for Cooper Power Systems in Minneapolis. Nathan enjoyed playing various sports and watching Wisconsin Badger football. He also liked reading, traveling and at one time was a nationally ranked BMX bicycle racer. Nathan especially enjoyed being a father and spending time with his son Ike.
Nathan is survived by his parents Mark and Susan Estep of Burnsville, Minnesota; son: Isaiah (Ike) Estep of Burnsville, Minnesota; sister: Michelle Nalley of Wichita, Kansas; nephews: David (Trey) Nalley and Kyle Estep of Wichita, Kansas; step-grandmother: Marcy Lange of Albert Lea, Minnesota and honorary grandparents: Ken and VaDonna Dohrmann of Salina, Kansas as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Nathan is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Donald and Allene Estep; maternal grandparents: Orville and Barbara Lange.
