Nancy Severtson

Funeral Services for Nancy Jo (Heather) Severtson, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. Curt Klingerman will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may visit with family one hour before the service at the funeral home. Nancy was born on June 28, 1938, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of George and Geraldine (Gray) Heather. She graduated from Albert Lea High School.
She enjoyed going to church, spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, cross stitching, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, spending time with her latest cat Paul, watching Lawrence Welk, eating popcorn and drinking caffeine free diet Dr. Pepper. She also loved listening to classical music and going for drives around town and out in the country. Nancy, a former Albert Lea resident, retired in Indiana. She died on Sunday, October 9 at Heritage House in Greensburg, Indiana. She was 78 years old.
Nancy is survived by: Sons Rodney Thompson, Ft. Collins, CO, Steven Thompson, Davenport, IA, David Thompson, daughter-in-law Jacque, Austin, MN; daughters Kathy Klingerman, son-in-law Curt, Sunman, IN, Patty Thompson, Freeport, IL; Brother, Jack Heather and sister-in-law Karan, sisters Betty Knutson, Phyllis Smith, Patricia Glacken and Jean Muncaster. Along with 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Geraldine Heather, her brothers Tommy and Richard Heather and a sister Mary (Heather) Hacker.
Nancy will be greatly missed by her family.
