Mildred Morfitt

Mildred Mae Morfitt age 91, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea, Minnesota. She was born March 4, 1925, in Harris, Iowa, to Henry and Sadie Morfitt. She graduated valedictorian of her class in Worthington, Minnesota and continued her education at the Minneapolis School of Business. She worked in the insurance industry in the Minneapolis area until she retired. In retirement she enjoyed her church, many activities like the Ladies Aid Society, attending concerts and playing bridge. She took many trips throughout the U.S. with her friends and family. She is survived by her brother Derald Morfitt of Albert Lea, aunt June Boots of Worthington, Minnesota, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Ann Ponto, Joyce Schlarbaum and Betty Herfindahl. A celebration of Mildred's life will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016. Visitation will be at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am at Bonnerup Funeral Service, in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
