Memorial services for Mary M. Wilder of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, April 9, 2016 at St Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea. Father Russell Scepaniak will officiate. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St Casmir's Cemetery, Wells, MN.
Mary died on Monday, April 4, 2016 at St John's Lutheran Home in Albert Lea. She was 92 years of age.
Mary was born February 2, 1924 the daughter of John and Louise (Kobernus) Kent. She graduated from public school and received her teacher's certificate from the Mankato Normal School. She taught school for one year and in 1946 was united in marriage to Clement "Bud" Wilder. She was then a stay at home mother who raised their eight children.
Mary was an active member of St Theodore Catholic Church working with the CCW and the prayer chain. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, canning, quilting and baking. She loved playing cards and cribbage and her quiet time praying the rosary.
Mary is survived by her children Larry (Miriam) Wilder of Williston, N.D., Chuck (Karen) Wilder of Albert Lea, MN, Ron (Beth) Wilder of Alden, MN, Ken (Sheryl) Wilder of Waseca, MN, Dave (Cari) Wilder of St Cloud, MN, Tim (Nancy) Wilder of Warrens, WI, Kathy (Eric) Batt of Fishers, IN. Grandchildren include Andrew (Terri) Wilder, Emily (John) Gorman, Laurie (Mitch) Kok, Chase (Dani) Theige, Chirsty (Lloyd) Sund, Ben Wilder, Jill Wilder (Pat Murphy), Justin (Sarah) Wilder, Nathan (LeeAnn) Wilder, Shane (Whitney) Wilder, Henrik Wilder, Jesse (Sarah) Wilder, Kelly (Brandon) Sommers, Dan (Leigh) Wilder, Tom Wilder (Katie Schmidt), Mathew Wilder, John (Kristina) Wilder, Sarah (James) Jones, Sister Anne Therese, Trenton (Savanna) Wilder, Travis Wilder (Lieah), Mikayla Batt, Marissa Batt, Jared Batt, Joshua Batt and Joe Batt. There are 20 great grandchildren, two sisters Jean Norton of Hill City, MN, Pat Purdes of Champlain, MN, sisters in law Carol Kent of St Francis, MN, Arlene Kent of Cambridge, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud, daughter Joyce and brothers George, Bill, Jack, Jerry, Harold, Don and Jim Kent.
