Funeral Services for Marsha L. Jacobson, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, September 23, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. The Reverend Kent Otterman will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Albert Lea. Visitation will be from 1:00 until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Marsha died peacefully on Wednesday, September 20, at the Muse Norris Hospice in Mason City. She was 73. She was born on May 18, 1944, in McGregor, Iowa, the daughter of Ervin and Opal (McMullin) Adney. Marsha graduated from McGregor High School in 1962. In 1963, she married Dennis Miller and to this union two children, Lisa and Kevin were born. They were later divorced. For a time Marsha worked as a cook at the grade school in Hanlontown, IA and later worked with the handicapped in Forest City, IA. On May 29, 1999, she married Arnold L. (AJ) Jacobson at Lunder Lutheran Church and they made their home in Albert Lea. She enjoyed dancing, her flower garden, playing darts, dice and cards, and collecting dolls and Precious Moments. Her travels included trips to Beach, North Dakota and Glendive, Montana, to see daughter Lisa and family. Her feline friends were constant companions for her. She will be greatly missed by her husband AJ, children Lisa Miller of Glendive, Montana, Kevin Miller of Walford, Iowa, stepchildren, Lynn (Stacie) Jacobson and LeAnn (Fabian) Talamantes all of Albert Lea, grandchildren: Jennifer and Laura Lund, Chelsea, Ashley, Madison, MaKena and BreAnn Jacobson, Noah Talamanates; sister Marilyn Loper of Monona, IA, sister-in-law Carol (Layne) Davis of Albert Lea and several nieces and nephews. Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law Doris Jacobson and brother-in-law Morgan ”Bubs” Loper. Blessed be her memory.
