Memorial services for Marilyn "Chris" Dahl of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel. The Reverend John Holt will officiate. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the East Freeborn Lutheran Cemetery.
Marilyn died Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Thorne Crest Retirement Center. She was 75 years of age.
Marilyn was born August 1, 1937 in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Foster and Margaret (Webber) Christenson. She was a graduate of Albert Lea High School and on August 15, 1958 was united in marriage to Robert Dahl in Albert Lea.
Marilyn was a lifelong resident of Freeborn County and past member of the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. She had been employed in retail at Three Sisters for over 8 years and with Kwik Trip for over 5 years.
In her free time she loved camping, playing softball and volleyball, crafts and crocheting. She was an avid Minnesota sports fan. Her favorite place was in the State Park. She loved to watch the eagles and building bird houses.
Marilyn is survived by her children; Robert (Cathy) Dahl of Hartwell, NE, Dan (Paula) Dahl of Albert Lea, MN, Deb (Jay) Hample of Lynn Haven, FL., 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers; Duane (Sara) Christenson of Owingsville, KY, Rodger (Karen) Christenson of Albert Lea, MN, two sisters Nancy (Ted) Boran of Avon, MN, Cheryl Renchin of Albert Lea, MN, special niece Teri Bertrand and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Jerry, Robert, Keith, and Daniel Christenson, mother and father in law Guida and Rudolph Dahl.
