Marie Cichos

The funeral service for Marie E. Cichos will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 14, 2005 at Bonnerup Funeral Chapel, Albert Lea, MN. The Reverend Kent Otterman will officiate. Burial will be in Freeborn Cemetery, Freeborn, MN. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the chapel.



Marie died on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the New Richland Care Center, New Richland, MN. She was 86 years old.





Marie was born in Clarion, Iowa on September 12, 1919, the daughter of Conrad and Rose (Kasper) Johnson.



In 1967 Marie was united in marriage with Philip Cichos. They made their home in Freeborn, MN where Marie had worked for Woods Produce. She enjoyed gardening, wood working, fishing, canning vegetables, and helping Philip in his shop.



Marie is survived by a step son, Eugene (Laurie) Cichos of Freeborn, MN; step daughter, Janice (Robert) Kalbow of Hartland, MN; four grandchildren: Lynn (Mike) Somage of Hartland, MN, Kerry Kalbow of Owatonna, MN, Marnie Cichos of Janesville, MN, Matt (Marsha) Cichos Waseca, MN; seven great grandchildren: Chris, Tory and Calvin Somage of Hartland, MN, Kaylee Kalbow of Austin, MN, Jake, Kylee and Teagan Cichos of Waseca, MN; one brother, Robert (Deloris) Johnson of Clarion, Iowa; one sister, Ruth Blackman of Clarion, Iowa.



She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Philip in 2000; step son, William Cichos; nine brothers and sisters.
