Marian Sofules

The Funeral Service of Marian Sofules, of Albert Lea, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Salem Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Mark Niethammer will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Marian died on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at St. John's Lutheran Home. She was 80. She was born on Oct. 27, 1933, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Mike and Hazel J. (Anderson) Sofules. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church and completed her education at Albert Lea High School. Marian loved her time at St. John's Lutheran Home, partaking in and enjoying all the activities. She enjoyed the solace and comfort of the garden areas.
Marian will be greatly missed by friends and her "family" at St. John's Lutheran Home. She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister Caroline.
