Funeral services for LuAnn Aman of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Bridge Community Church North. Pastor Clayton Balsley will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4 until 7 at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
LuAnn died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Oak Park Place Retirement Center in Albert Le. She was 83 years of age.
LuAnn was born September 8, 1932 in Maple Island, MN, the daughter of Holger and Katherine (Lorens) Nielsen. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1951. On August 5, 1950 she was united in marriage to Thomas Aman in Albert Lea, MN.
LuAnn was a resident of Albert Lea all of her life and had been employed by the Ben Franklin Store and retired from the Metz baking company. She was a long time member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she spent many years teaching Sunday School. In her free time she enjoyed bowling, coffee with friends, but most of all time spent with her family.
She is survived by her children Katherine (Jon) Ostrander of Thompson, IA, Jody (Tim) Wolfskill of Albert Lea, MN, Karen (Dale) Hansen of Morgan, MN, and Dale (Carolyn) Aman of Forest City, IA. There are three grandchildren; Ben (Nicole) Hansen and their children Colin and Jackson, Sam (Anne) Hansen, Jacob (Rachel) Hansen. One sister survives; Virginia Fiscus of Iowa Falls, IA, brother Robert (Donna) Nielson of Albert Lea, MN, sister in law Jessie Garska of Blue Mound, NE. Special friends Ron (Judy) Hansen of Albert Lea, MN, and their children Kelly Anderson (Noah and Esther), Robin (Mark) Russell (Maddie, Titus, Naomi and Timothy), Emily (Tim) Reed (Owen, Griffin and Ruby). There are numerous nieces and nephews.
LuAnn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, brothers Kenneth, Richard, Marvin, Paul and Steven Nielsen, sister Shirley Christensen, brothers in law Earl and Harold Aman, sister in law Lulu Fisher.
