Loren Krueger

Funeral services for Loren M. Krueger of Pine Island, MN, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Concordia Pickerel Lake Lutheran Church rural Albert Lea, MN. Pastor Peter Soli and Reverend Anjanette Bandel will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Loren died Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Evergreen Place in Pine Island, MN. He was 93 years of age.

Loren was born September 16, 1923 on the farm near Albert Lea, MN. He graduated from Albert Lea High School and the University of Minnesota. On December 16, 1945 he was united in marriage to Dorothy E. Dahlen after having met on a blind date. To this union four children were born. Together they lived in Albert Lea for 17 years before moving to Rochester, MN. Over the many years of marriage they traveled extensively all over the world.

Loren was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester and had been baptized and confirmed at Concordia Pickerel Lake Lutheran Church. He worked in Albert Lea repairing TV’s and radios on Clark St, spent time farming and then worked as a supervisor with Mayo Clinic in Medical Research for over 24 years. Loren loved Astronomy and had taken many trips in several countries to view the solar eclipse.

Loren is survived by his children Steve Krueger of El Paso, TX, Dennis (Carol) Krueger of Pine Island, MN, Susan (Terry) Sutton of The Villages, FL, Mark Krueger of Rochester, MN, grandchildren Steve Krueger ll, Dustin Krueger, David Krueger, Kurt Krueger, Kelly Krueger Jo Marie (Adam) Heidfeld, Aaron Ludwig and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy in 2016, and five brothers.
