Lois Prihoda

November 27, 1922 — May 31, 2017

Memorial service for Lois L. Prihoda will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Pastor James Kassera will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Albert Lea.

Lois L. Prihoda, of Albert Lea passed peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at St. John's Nursing Home. She was 94 years old.

Lois was born in Nevada Township, Mower County, on November 27, 1922 to parents Theodore and Mabel (Nelson) Enerson. Lois graduated from Lyle High School in 1941 and six months later married her husband Floyd J. Prihoda on November 19, 1941. Over the years Lois held various jobs in the Austin and Albert Lea area, including Hormel, Land-O-Lakes, Streaters, and the Shopper.

Lois was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and Eagle's Auxiliary. She had a love for crossword puzzles and all Minnesota sports, especially the Twins. Lois enjoyed being with her family very much.

Lois is survived by her children, Gary Prihoda of Twin Lakes, Leann (Eldon Monson) Prihoda of Albert Lea, Craig (Debbie) Prihoda of Albert Lea, Joe Prihoda of Albert Lea, Lorie (Scott) Schreiber of Albert Lea; son-in-law, Ed Wichmann; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and one on the way; 14 great-great-grandchildren and two on the way; as well as one great-great-great grandchild on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Prihoda; parents, Theodore and Mabel Enerson; daughters, Sharon Wichmann and Jeaneen (Jim) Tabor; daughters-in-law, Cathy Jo Fitzgerald and Margaret Prihoda; son-in-law, Phil Coughlin; brother, Duane (Charlene) Enerson; brothers-in-law, John (Elizabeth) Prihoda and Clarence (Sophie) Prihoda; sisters-in-law, Loretta (Milo) Prantner and Dorothy (Milo) Cafourek; and great-grandson, Dominic.
