LaVonne Morgan

Funeral services for LaVonne E. Morgan of Hayward , MN , will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel in Albert Lea , MN . Pastor Richard Spande will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4 until 7 PM and one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be in the Hayward Cemetery , Hayward , MN .

Mrs. Morgan died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Albert Lea Medical Center . She was 83 years of age.

LaVonne was born December 17, 1926 in Albert Lea , MN , the daughter of Henry and Emma (Solumn) Edwin. She was a high school graduate and on December 6, 1945 was united in marriage to Elmer Morgan in San Francisco , CA. Together they made their home in Albert Lea , Hartland, Nevis , MN and in Hayward since 1988.

LaVonne was baptized in the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker taking care of her six children. She enjoyed going on long walks, the outdoors, fishing for northern, reading and working puzzles. LaVonne had a great sense of humor, a strong will and loved playing Yahtzee with her family.

She is survived by her husband Elmer of Hayward, MN, children; Mike (Debbie) Morgan of Panama City, FL, Carol Handris of West Hills, CA, Larry (Debbie) Morgan of Hartland, MN, Richard Morgan of Briclyn, MN, Barb Schoen of Albert Lea, MN, and Gary Morgan of Hayward, MN. There are 16 grand children and 9 great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters surviving include; Howie (Jane) Edwin of Colorado Springs, CO, Don (Fern) Edwin of Albert Lea, MN, Janice Dempewolf of Albert Lea, MN, and Marlyss (Sid) Johnson of Wells, MN.

LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents, step father Casimer Schultz, son in law; James Schoen, sisters; Lorraine Teske, Elaine Doyle, Deloris Carlsen, Verna Nelson, and Ramona Edwin.
