Remembering the life of Larry E. Stanley...
The Funeral Service for Larry E. Stanley of Hayward, Minnesota, will be held
at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at the Hayward Lutheran Church.
The Reverend John Malm will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Military honors will be accorded by Albert Lea Veteran's Organizations.
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, MN., and one hour before the service at the church.
Larry died on Monday, November 15, 2004 in Utica, New York. He was 60 years old.
He was born on August 3, 1944, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, the son of
Edward and Wanda Stanley.
Larry attended school in Martinsburg and then at the age of 17 he entered
the Army and served our country for a time in Germany. He attained
his G.E.D. while in the service.
When he returned from the service he began working as a welder in Washington
D.C. He later began over the road trucking which he did for more than
30 years, and was currently employed by Styer in Lakeville, MN.
Larry married Mary (Wittmer) Ruble on June 23, 1981, in Winchester, Virginia.
Larry enjoyed watching western movies, fishing, doing search ?a-word, and playing
computer games. Going out for coffee with friends, spending time with grandchildren, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need, were among his
favorite pastimes.
Larry is survived by his wife Mary of Hayward; children: Lisa Batten, Pam (Tim) Shifflett, Pat (Steve) McDaniels, Penny (Dennis) VanMetre, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Wanda(Mike) Burnley, of Hudson, Wisconsin, step-children: Jayson (Roxanne) Ruble of Hayward, Sam (Dan) O?Rourke of Albert Lea, Sue (Jim) Hoiseth, Albert Lea, granddaughter, whom he raised, Stephanie Batten of Hayward, 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters: Janice Rainey, Juanita Ellis, of Martinsburg, W.V., Judy Womack of St. Louis, MO., Barbara Stalliter of Martinsburg, W.V., Gary Stanley of Colorado Springs, CO., Peg Myers and Terry Stanley of Martinsburg, W.V., brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Sharon Hemenway, Albert Lea, Jim Wittmer of Miltona, MN., Roger (Barb) Wittmer of Osakis, Dan (Anita) Wittmer, of Parkers Prairie, MN., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Harold and Marleda Wittmer, brothers Jerry and Eddie, sister Dorothy, son Jerry Michael and infant daughter Tabitha.
