Remembering the life of Kenneth L. Overland.....
The Funeral Service for Kenneth "Kenny" L. Overland, of rural Albert Lea, will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, November 22, at
Lunder Lutheran Church, rural Albert Lea. The Reverend Tamara
Dahlvang will officiate. Interment will be in Lunder Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
Kenny died from congestive heart failure on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at the Albert Lea Medical Center. He was 79.
He was born on January 19, 1926, at Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea the son of Arthur and Myrtle (Torkelson) Overland.
He lived the majority of his life on a farm five miles south of Albert Lea where he farmed with his parents.
He was as member of Lunder Lutheran Church where he in earlier years had taught Sunday School and in later years served as the historian. An avid reader, Kenny enjoyed history and researching the past and he was the ?family? reunion planner for more than 25 years.
Throughout his life, Kenny opened his heart and stretched out his hand to help many.
He is survived by his sister Maureen and her husband Fred Curtis of Eden Prairie, MN, nieces: Virginia Curtis of Chanhassen, MN, Terri Martin of Raleigh, NC, Janet and her husband Mike Malinowski of St.
Louis Park, MN, Jeffrey Curtis and his wife Debra of Maple Grove, MN, Christine and her husband Frank Hays of Chaska, MN, Kathleen
and her husband Craig Sievwright of Eagan, MN; great nieces and nephews: Michael Johnson, Karen Johnson, Andrea Martin, Emily Martin, Chad Curtis, Caitlin Curtis, Thomas Hays, Corinn Sievwright,
Cassandra Sievwright, one great great niece Jordinn Johnson;
Close friends Andy Nordaas, Nicholas Hanson, Josh Ellingson and
many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and many aunts and uncles.
