The funeral service for Kenneth Raymond Neumann of New Richland, Minnesota will be
11:00 a.m. Wednesday October 14, 2009 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church.. The Reverend Gerald Giese and the Reverend Paul Andree will officiate.. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Friedrich Funeral Home, New Richland and one hour before the service at the church.
Kenneth died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at his home. He was 59 years old.
Kenneth was born July 1, 1950 at Albert Lea, Minnesota to Raymond and Dorothea (Schroeder) Neumann. He graduated from New Richland High School in 1968 and continued his education at Faribault Vocation School. He owned Neumann Office Center. He also worked for Owatonna Bus Company. Kenneth worked for Nordic Custom Homes as a sales representative and finally pursued the building career of New Kenmann Construction as an independent contractor.
He has lived in Owatonna, Minnesota and New Richland and was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. He married Sandra (Fox) Peterson on July 19, 2003 at New Richland. Kenneth enjoyed purchasing older homes in New Richland and refurbishing them for sale. He was very involved with the Odd Fellow Building Project in New Richland. Kenneth was a member of the St. Peter Cemetery Board and the New Richland Commercial club. He loved going to flea markets, antique stores, garage sales and auctions. When February came, he looked forward to his Mexico vacations. Kenneth enjoyed entertaining with his family and friends. He was a crowd pleaser and tried to get people to laugh. He also enjoyed touring New Richland in his golf cart. Kenneth enjoyed his Sunday morning church service with his friends.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Sandra; three sons: Scott Neumann and special friend Debbie Trom of Ellendale, MN, Keith (Butch) Neumann and special friend Tammy Vaith of New Richland, MN, and stepson Curtis Peterson of New Richland, MN; four grandchildren: Tabitha Katzung, Kristin, Nicole and Ciara Neumann; sister: Patricia (Mark) Milbrett of Waseca, MN; nephew: Brandon (Naomi) Milbrett, Ross Milbrett; niece: Julie Milbrett all of Waseca, MN; brothers-in-law: Randy (Diane) Fox of New Richland, MN, Tiger (Amie) Fox of Owatonna, MN; sister-in-law: Lisa (Robert) Surat of New Richland, MN and nieces and nephews.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his grandson: William ?Billy? Neumann; grandparents: Otto Sr. and Rose Neumann, Elmer and Helen Schroeder.
