Keith Neidermeier

October 9, 1960 — March 20, 2025

New Richland

Keith Edward Neidermeier, 64, of New Richland, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Prairie Senior Cottages.

Keith Edward Neidermeier was born on October 9, 1960, in Middletown, Pennsylvania to Rev. Wesley and Ruth Neidermeier. Keith was the second born of four brothers; Mark, Keith, Joel and Scott. They grew up in the church with his dad as the pastor and his mom as the organist. Keith was a Christian from the moment he could understand what it meant to be Christian. He was in the Royal Rangers, which was like the boy scouts but for the Assemblies of God Church.

He graduated from high school in Ambridge, Pennsylvania and later graduated from Welding School at the Albert Lea Technical Institute in 1987. He was a very good welder and held various welding jobs over the years.

Keith married Lori Hohansee in October of 1987, and to this union two children were born, Kristin (1989) and Kyle (1997). The family lived together in Geneva until Keith and Lori divorced in 2001.

Keith was very active in the AA/NA Communities of Albert Lea and well known down at the club. He loved riding motorcycles, having campfires in the backyard while listening to music and making smores, and playing many games of cribbage and skip bo. He also loved going to the movies, playing at the parks, and going to the Albert Lea pool. He enjoyed many trips to the cities to visit his parents where they would take the kids to Camp Snoopy, Under Water World, and to get ice cream from Dairy Queen. He was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers Football Team.

He had many friends and would help anyone he could who was in need. He was a really good guy who was funny and loved to laugh. He was always making jokes to make people laugh, including himself. He had a great laugh.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Wesley and Ruth Neidermeier, paternal grandparents, Rev. Edward and Ida Neidermeier (Marks), and maternal grandparents, Emmanuel and Edna Crew (Leighow).

Left to cherish in his memory are his children, Kristin (Josh) Johnson and Kyle (Raelin) Neidermeier, granddaughter, Savannah, brothers, Mark (Remy), Joel (Shirley), and Scott (Wendi). Many cousins and their families, nephews, nieces and their families and friends.
