Obituary for Kathryn G. Neitzell



The funeral service of Kathryn G. (Kate) Neitzell, of Hollandale, MN, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 23, 2007 at Bonnerup Funeral Chapel, Albert Lea, MN. Pastor Jamie Cameron will officiate. Burial will be in Geneva Cemetery, Geneva, MN. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Sunday at Bonnerup Funeral Chapel and one hour before the service at the Chapel.



Kate went to be with her lord and savior on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, MN. She was 75 years old.



Kate was born in Minneapolis, MN on October 10, 1931, the daughter of Emanuel and Mary (Szabla) Holstein. She graduated from high school in Minneapolis. On January 9, 1951 she was united in marriage with LaVerne Neitzell.



Kate?s activities and interests were: flower arranging and crafts, spending time fishing and relaxing at the cabin up north, playing cards, and sharing time with friends on the computer. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her deep Christian faith.



She is survived by her husband, LaVerne of Hollandale, MN; one daughter, Janice (Mike) Sasser of Huntertown, IN; four sons: Jay (Marsha) Neitzell of Albert Lea, MN, Vernon (Cheri) Neitzell of Austin, MN, Jon (Debbie) Neitzell of Stillwater, MN, Jim (Heather) Neitzell of Meridian, ID; 25 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters: Angela Fiala of Minneapolis, MN, and Rose (Bill) Magnuson of Boise, ID; and many nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents.
