Kathleen Perrino

The funeral service for Kathleen Elieen Perrino of Albert Lea , Minnesota will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea. The Reverend Jim Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in St. Theodore Cemetery . Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel 2210 East Main St. Albert Lea and one hour before the service at the church.





With broken hearts we announce the death of our beloved Mother into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus. Kathleen passed away on Friday May 29 th 2009 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. Kathleen was 73 years old.



Kathleen was born on July 22 nd , 1935 in Libertyville , Il to Clarence and Irene McGaughey. She graduated from Brillion High School in 1953 in Brillion WI . She worked after graduation at the University of Wisconsin St. Mary ’s Hospital in Madison WI.



Kathleen then moved to Los Angeles , CA where she worked at Good Samaritan Hospital. This was where she met her future husband Joseph Perrino, while he was a patient. She then was united in marriage to Joseph on June 29 th , 1960 at St. Bernadette Church in Los Angeles , CA . She also worked at the Daniel Freeman Hospital in Inglewood , CA when her first daughter was born Terrie Ann. Soon followed her son Ross Patrick, who was proudly born on St. Patrick’s Day. The last born of her children was her Kellie Ann. Kathleen later worked at the Baldwin Hills Hospital in Los Angeles , CA before moving to Albert Lea in 1970. Kathleen started working at Naeve Hospital . in 1970 were she worked until retirement in 1998.





Kathleen will be most remembered for her endless compassion and love for her family and others. Words cannot describe the beauty of a mother she was to us. She was our rock, our best friend, and our strength. She was a wonderful grandma to her six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her grandchildren will remember her for hugs and kisses. She taught us to have good manners and be thankful for everything in life. We remember cold winter days eating a bowl of Grandma’s homemade chili. She was so blessed to watch her grandchildren grow up into adults. She loved celebrating St. Patrick’s Day every year with family and friends. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic church in Albert Lea. She touched the lives of everyone she met.





Survivors include her children: Daughter: Kellie and husband Rick Weitzel of Albert Lea. Grandson: Jacob and wife Kari Weitzel of Albert Lea. Her one and only Granddaughter Jennifer and husband Cory Parker and great granddaughter and grandson Sophia and Anthony Parker of Albert Lea ; Daughter: Terrie Perrino and grandson Matthew Arnold of Perris , CA . Son: Ross Perrino and grandson Eric, Kyle, Ryan Perrino of Mankato , MN .





Brother John and wife Penne McGaughey of Albert Lea. Niece Robin and husband John Arnold grand niece and nephew Brynn and Issac Olson of Zumboro Falls , MN . Nephew Patrick and wife Julie McGaughey and grandnephew Sean McGaughey of Eden Prairie Mn. Brother Steven and Cheryl Runkel and nephews Adam and Brett Runkel of Shoreview, Mn. Brother Mert and wife Barb Runkel and children Mark and Laura of Aiken, SC. Niece Debbie Paddock of San Pedro, CA .Carlos, Marcey, Emily, Sebastian, Nephew Jerry Bundy and two daughters of San Pedro, CA.





Her Irish smile will be missed forever but never forgotten in our hearts. Mom, you’re finally home. We were so blessed that you were our Mother. We love you. Proceeded in death: Her Parents Clarence McGaughey and Irene Sletten, Husband Joseph Perrino, Sister-in-law Mary Anne Perrino, and her beloved dogs Brandy and Sammy.
