will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2009 at St. Theodore’s Catholic Church Albert Lea.
The Reverend James Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate.
Interment will be in St. Theodore’s
Catholic
Cemetery
.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service,
Albert Lea
and one hour before the service at the church.

Julia was born June 14, 1913 at

to Joseph and Mary (Zimney) Kulla.
She lived in
North Dakota

South Dakota
for seven years.
Julia was raised

Minnesota
.
She graduated from
St.
Frances
High School
at Little Falls,
Minnesota
and graduated with a BA Degree in Home
Economics from
St.
Benedict
College
,
St. Joseph

Minnesota
.
Julia married Joseph Marshik from 1939 – 1968.
They lived at
St. Louis Park
,
Minnesota
from 1944 – 1960 and moved to
Albert Lea
in 1960.
After his death she later married Julius Peters from 1970 – 1982.
Julia was a very active member of
the Council of Catholic Women at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in
St. Louis Park
, Mn.
She was active member of St. Theodore’s Catholic Church, Albert Lea.
She enjoyed crocheting many gifts for the church.
Julia also enjoyed cooking.
Julia was past president of her high school and college Alumni..
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and putting puzzles together.
Julia is survived by her two children:

Joel Marshik and his wife Phyllis of Helena, Montana;
daughter:
Judith Marshik of St. Michael, Minnesota;
grandchildren:
Jeffrey Bisso and his wife Sara of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Joel Bisso of
Savannah, Georgia and
Dawn Skogsberg and her husband Peter of St. Michael, Minnesota; great grandchildren:
Mia Bisso, Madison Skogsberg and Wyatt Skogsberg;
many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Julia is preceded in death by her parents:
Joseph and Mary Kulla; husbands:
Joseph Marshik and Julius Peters; three sisters:
Mary Kulla, Genevieve Kulla and Theresa Reyerson; brothers: John and Joseph Kulla.
