Joyce (Brigger) Dombroske, passed away at the New Richland Care Center, her home for the last seven years, on March 2nd, 2014.
She was born on October 22, 1932, to the late Art and Leona Brigger of Minnesota Lake, MN. Joyce graduated from Wells High School in 1950. She married Robert (Bob) Dombroske, her high school sweetheart, on January 7, 1951.
Joyce and Bob first lived in Wells, MN and then moved to Albert Lea in 1955, where they were members of the Moose Lodge and camping club for many years. They settled in New Richland in 1973, where Joyce worked in the meat department at Abraham's grocery store for several years. She enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, camping, fishing, and especially spending time with her husband of 63 years.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Bob; sister Ardis (Dave) Ericson; brother Gary (Carol) Brigger; 4 sister in-laws; and her five children: Vicki Eckert; Curt Dombroske; Pam (Brad) Walstrom; Kathy (Jon) Meyer; and Mike Dombroske. Joyce also has nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David Brigger.
The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Richland with a viewing one hour before the funeral.
