John Schreiber

John R. Schreiber, 58, of Albert lea passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.

John was born October 26, 1962 to Raymond and Joyce (Stoltz) Schreiber in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He attended school in Albert Lea and graduated with the class of 1981 from Albert Lea High School.

John spent a few years living in Florida and Arizona until the early 1990’s when he returned to Albert Lea. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, Nascar races, fishing, and pheasant hunting. He spent fun times with friends working in there bands and listening to their music and many laughed filled days with family playing “Spinner Dominos” and going to the casino with his mom.

He was a friend to everyone he met, always shared an infectious smile and will be missed.

John is survived by his mother, Joyce Schreiber; siblings, Beth (Bill Johnson) Kurtz, Susan (John) Lapakko and Julie (Kevin) Grahn; nephews, Chaz Damrow, Christopher (Madelyn Braun) Lapakko, Matthew (Emma) Lapakko, PC (Amanda) Hong and Niece Nicole (Dillon) Hansen and Aunts Carol Peterson and Mary Lea (Alan) Van Horn and many other cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; sister, Barbara Schreiber; nephew, Shane Damrow; grandparents, Gen (Fred) Stoltz, Lizzie (Ed) Wram and John Schreiber.

A visitation will take place from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Bonnerup Funeral Service.  Memorial services will take place directly after, starting at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Shane Koepke officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
