Father James Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate.
Interment will be in the St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery, Albert Lea.
Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service,
Albert Lea
and one hour before service at the church. Military Honors will be accorded by Albert Lea Veterans Organizations.
John died on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at his home after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was 86 years old.

on August 5, 1922, the son of Fred R. and Stella (Stahwoick) Buboltz.
He graduated from
Owatonna
High School
. John served his country in the US Navy as a Navy Ships Cook.
John married Jean Seykora on January 4, 1947 in
Owatonna

MN
. He has been a resident of
Albert Lea
since 1950.
John was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church.
He served as an usher, helped with the Fish Fry’s and all funeral lunches.
He was awarded the Bishops Medal in 2006 for all the service to the church. John worked as a chef at the Hotel in
Owatonna
, Hotel Albert, Albert Lea Country Club and Arrowhead Golf Course in Emmons. He was an instructor at Albert Lea Vo-Tech in the Deli and Catering for over 15 years and was known by all students as Mr. B. He received the Program Founders Award at the Albert Lea VoTech and the International Geneva Association for Excellence in Culinary Arts.
John served in the US Navy and was the ships cook. He was a proud member of AA celebrating 49 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Club and the American Legion. John served for many years at the Loaves and Fishes Program and Meals on the Go. He enjoyed golf, fishing, gardening and yard work, playing cards, his morning coffee group and spending time with his grandkids
John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean of Albert Lea, MN; children: Terry (Sandy) Buboltz of Savage, MN, Bruce (Catherine) Buboltz of Albert Lea, MN, Douglas Buboltz of Albert Lea, MN, Donald Buboltz of Albert Lea, MN; grandchildren: Daniel and Christine Buboltz of Savage, MN, Andrew Buboltz of Albert Lea, MN; brothers-in-law: Tony (Doris) Seykora of Owatonna, MN, Donald Seykora of Owatonna, MN, Merrill Jensen of Owatonna, MN, Robert Huber of Florida; Nieces and Nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Stella; brother: Fritz Buboltz; 6 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law.
John will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends.
