The funeral service for John O. Beyer of New Richland, Minnesota will be
11:00 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church
The Reverend Scott Williams will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery. Visitation will be for 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.
Bonnerup Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
John died Monday December 10, 2012 at his home. He was 70 years old.
John was born April 8, 1942 at Minnetonka, Minnesota to Otto and Elsbeth (Mundki) Beyer. He graduated from St. Louis Park High School, St. Louis Park, Minnesota. John married Deborah Johnson on April 24, 1965 at Marietta, Minnesota. They have resided at Marrieta, Minnesota, Lake Lillian, Minnesota and New Richland, Minnesota. John worked for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad as a clerk for 35 years. John enjoyed everything that involved the railroad. He enjoyed collecting railroad memorabilia, riding trains, traveling to various places taking pictures of railroad Depots. John also enjoyed delivering the Albert Lea Tribune in his retirement.
John is survived by his wife: Deborah Beyer of New Richland, Minnesota; son: Daniel Beyer and his wife Jackie of Dallas, Texas and their children: Jonathan and Kari; daughter: Kathleen Bartelt and her husband Gerald of Waterville, Minnesota; sister: Valieta Norris of Paynesville, Minnesota; niece: Yvette Lechner and her husband Richard of Minnetonka, Minnesota.
John is preceded in death by his parents: Otto and Elsbeth Beyer; brother-in-law: Doctor Howard Norris.
