Jessica Lokken

March 29, 1983 — January 25, 2014

Jessica Brianna Lokken of Albert Lea, MN, went to the arms of her Lord on Saturday, January 25th, 2014, at the age of 30, after passing away from complications of a pulmonary embolism.
Funeral services for Jessica Lokken will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 31, 2014 at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, MN with Pastor John Holt officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea and again one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
She came into this life on March 29th, 1983 the child of Brian and Julie Lokken, and lived her life as a miracle. She was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, MN on June 19th, 1983 and followed her Christian faith on October 10th, 1999 being confirmed at that same church. Jessica sang in the church choir for many years as well as participated in the church musicals. Jessica loved the Lord.
She attended Albert Lea Public Schools and then graduated from The Northbridge Academy in May of 2001. She delivered The Albert Lea Tribune newspaper and enjoyed visiting with her customers. Jessica loved being with her family. She loved traveling, nice hotel rooms, "camping out" on a pull-out couch and swimming. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed the years she spent on league, earning many trophies. She enjoyed collecting The Wizard of Oz and Precious Moments memorabilia, helping her mother with flowers and eating out at nice restaurants. She took great pride in her appearance and her wardrobe, making sure everything coordinated and most often wore her favorite color PINK! She always carried a purse which housed anything any of her family or friends ever needed. She was always prepared. She was a master at putting puzzles together and winning at the casino. She loved spending time with the neighbor's dog, Roxy, who she called her "girlfriend". Jessica shared a special bond with all her grandparents and most recently, loved every minute she spent with her grandmother, Avis. Her cousin Ahne Ordalen was very dear to her and she enjoyed all the mile marks they shared in life. Jessica always thought of everyone else first, she was so selfless.
She was the center of her family, whom she leaves behind; her parents, Brian and Julie Lokken, who loved her more than life, her brothers, Jeremiah and Jedadiah Lokken, who she always looked out for, her grandmother, Avis Ordalen, who was so very special to her, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Those who greeted her in heaven were her sister in infancy, her paternal grandparents, Donald and Betty Lokken, her maternal grandfather, Edward Henry Ordalen, Sr and her cousin, Andrea Ordalen.
Jessica loved every day of her life. She always had a positive attitude. She lit up every room she walked into with her smile, her hugs, her kind words and the way she made everyone feel so special. Everyone she met became her friend and she genuinely cared about each one of them. Jessica made all of us a better person, so as we go thru our lives here on earth, in her memory, may we all smile, laugh, hug and be kind, as that is how she lived every day of her life and that was the gift she gave to the world.
Blessed be her memory. Honey, you will NEVER be forgotten. We love you so very much.
