Funeral services for Jennifer R. Cornelius of Geneva, MN, will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at the United Methodist Church in Ellendale, MN, Pastor Randy Cirksena will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4 until 7 PM at Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel in Ellendale, MN, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Geneva Cemetery.
Jennifer died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at her home in Geneva. She was 70 years of age.
Jennifer was born March 26, 1946 in England, the daughter of Jens and Joan (Fletcher) Olson. She graduated from Owatonna High School and the received her nursing degree from Austin Community College. On December 23, 1967 she was united in marriage to Vernon Cornelius at the Ellendale United Methodist Church.
Jennifer was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Ellendale for many years and was active as a youth group leader. She loved spending time with children and sharing her gifts of music, singing and laughter. She enjoyed all the wonderful friends she had made over the years.
Jennifer is survived by her husband Vernon, children Melissa (Henry) Large of Kansas City, MO, Chad (Julie) Cornelius of Lakeville, MN, Matt Cornelius of Lakeville, MN, Joshua Cornelius of Maple Island, MN, and one person who shared a special place in their family; Raymond Luna of Minneapolis, MN. Grandchildren include; Alecia Large, Lydia Large, Maddison Cornelius, Ethan Cornelius, Jordan Cornelius, Jayde Cornelius and Jacob Cornelius. Brothers and sisters include; Joy Pearson, George St John, Benj St John, Steve St John, Tim St John, Joni Digman, Jack St John, Margie Higgins, Joe St John, Susie Kruse and Gary St John.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Jared Large.
