Funeral services for Jennie I. Hove will be held at 3 P.M. Monday, April 10, 2017 at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea, MN. Pastor Shane Koepke will officiate. Friends may visit from 1 to 3 P.M. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Albert Lea.
Jennie Ilene Hove, age 84, passed away at home in Albert Lea on Tuesday, April 5, 2017. Jennie was born on July 6, 1932 to parents Jacob and Grace (TerHark) Delger in Kanawha, Iowa.
On June 9, 1957, Jennie married Ralph O.E. Hove at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Together, they made their home near Albert Lea and raised six children. Jennie held various jobs around Albert Lea including Woolworth's, Eddie's bar, Skyline Supper Club and Greenery, as well as the Snack Shack. She called BINGO for the Albert Lea Hockey Association and called BINGO in Conger. Jennie was also a former member of the Moose Auxiliary and belonged to Grace Lutheran Church.
In her free time, Jennie could be found in the kitchen either making her famous Maid-Rites or baking cookies for grandchildren, neighbors, or friends. Jennie enjoyed tending to her flower garden and doing word search puzzles. She loved her family and was loved by them in return.
Survivors include Jennie's children, Ralph O.E. Hove II and his wife Rebecca, LeRoy Hove and his wife Ruth, Suzanne Fenske and her husband Jayson, Wayne Hove and his wife Maria, Patricia Gillespie and her husband George; 13 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Anno Delger and Kermit Delger; and several other relatives.
Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph O.E. Hove Sr.; son, Peter Hove; and brother, Jim Delger.
